چکیده

This review pretends to shed light on the immune processes occurring in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from a perspective based antigens size, lower or larger than 70 kDa. cutoff size point explains host type of response against antigenic proteins severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which may lead development memory B cells or, conversely, suppression, apoptosis, viral escape, and sepsis. Here, previous experimental work related literature, following is proposed: < kDa can access germinal center through follicular conduits, where activated present processed antigen specific naive CD4+ T that, interaction with major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC-II), trigger helper (Th2). Conversely, > cannot circulate narrow conduits network might be captured within subcapsular sinus by macrophages dendritic cells. Then, these cognate are presented, via complement receptors, that acquire them MHC-II cells, triggering Th1. The sustained infected lysis overfeed high levels unassembled kDa, strong persistent cell receptor (BCR) activation, enhancing Th2 response, releasing interleukin-10 (IL-10) transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) paralysis, sepsis, death. Finally, it suggested polymerization into an polymer could shift Th1, developing immunoglobulin G2 (IgG2) production, avoiding

Human IgM+CD27+ B cells: memory B cells or "memory" B cells?

Memory B cells are generated in germinal centers (GC) and contribute to serological immunity by rapidly differentiating into plasma cells. Human memory B cells can be identified by the expression of CD27. These cells exhibit more rapid responses than naive (CD27-) B cells following stimulation in vitro, consistent with the heightened kinetics of secondary responses in vivo. CD27+ B cells expres...

Are COVID-19 Protective Behaviours and Risk Perception More Common in Diabetic Women than Non-Diabetics?

Objective: Diabetic patients are more likely to be infected and are at the higher risk of morbidity and mortality in COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to compare the preventive behaviours and perceived risk of COVID-19 in women with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Materials and Methods: The analytical cross-sectional study was conducted from June to July 2020 on 151 par...

Antigen-capturing Cells Can Masquerade as Memory B Cells

As well as classically defined switched immunoglobulin isotype-expressing B cells, memory B cells are now thought to include IgM-expressing cells and memory cells that lack B cell lineage markers, such as B220 or CD19. We set out to compare the relative importance of memory B cell subsets with an established flow cytometry method to identify antigen-specific cells. After immunization with PE, w...
